January is definitely out since it's November now... Hopefully by July/August of 2008. _________________ "The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future." -Oscar Wilde

I still hold hopes for June.... most likely vain hopes with everything else he's doing... but hopes. _________________ A King may set a Knight to wondrous deeds but it is the storyteller that makes him great.

How long time will it take from that he announces that it is done to it hits the stores?
Luckily there will be alot of other great books published in spring/early summer which will make the wait much easier.

It takes a couple of months from the writing table to the bookshelves. Usually it's more than half a year, but long awaited projects like this one are rushed through in 3-4 months _________________ Students arrive at university confident that they know nearly everything, and they leave years later certain that they know practically nothing. Then there is still a small chance my guess (march 2008) will be true though now I think Hodor will be the closest one.

Christmas 2008. I'm feeling optamistic. _________________ Yet they were woefully wicked men and often at night in pain, and I heard the murderer speak of his crimes as he lived them over again; and I heard the thief lamenting his lies and the dead self he had slain.

I'm feeling surprised. Hi k, what brings you to these shores?
GRRM said that he had just finished a couple of Tyrion chapters and that he had to go way back to pick up the other plot lines. that doesn't sound too optimistic to me, so I'm gonna say that it'll be at least April or May before he's done _________________ Students arrive at university confident that they know nearly everything, and they leave years later certain that they know practically nothing. I may not always post, but I'm always lurking. _________________ Yet they were woefully wicked men and often at night in pain, and I heard the murderer speak of his crimes as he lived them over again; and I heard the thief lamenting his lies and the dead self he had slain.
