GRRM has updated his site with a new update about ADWD,

he also posted a new sample chapter jon 1

so who do you think the new POV is? i checked out the hint he gave and it is one of Loras Tyrel, Melisandre and the Hound

I think I'd definately rule out Melisandre... seems like it would take too much mystery out of the character and there are a few characters by the wall right now that could have equally good POV's (if they already don't).

Loras and Sandor are both good choices... personally I think he's probobly going for Loras. Although Clegane woudl be the more popular choice I'm sure.

Loved the chapter! Nice with something new from GRRM that I haven't read a thousand times already. Doesn't make the wait much easier though... Rolling Eyes

That was good, Ive been fiending for an Ice And Fire fix for way too long!
Jon is one of my favorites, I wonder whats gonna happen on the wall with Stannis.

Good to know that it might come out this year, not exactly a guarantee, but its better than being in the dark.
